My Fellow Epinion Writers:

The Bottom Line Be original! Don't let a poor rating change the way you write.
I know the Epinions category is crowded as it is - but I have got to write this review.
The other day, I went back to read the comments on my 2001 Windstar review. (http://www.epinions.com/content_9143750276) In summary, it's about the automatic sliding door, and how the sensors hardly work. My fiance and I played with the door and tested it for about fifteen minutes. It was a decent review! (with facts about the door, and the vehicle in general.) I had more than 30 Very Helpfuls in the first week! Anyway, this guy rates it Not Helpful!!! and leaves a comment saying since I didn't purchase the vehicle, he doesn't feel I have a right to write an Epinion on it! Excuse Me??? Epinions was constructed to help people give and get information on products - I'm glad I didn't choose to throw away my money on the 2001 Windstar. (Although, I probably could have mademoney on a Ford Lawsuit!)
My point is not just to rant about this person and his comment. I want everyone to write Original reviews. Tell your opinion from every side imaginable. For vehicles, tell about test drives, ownership, or selling options. If everyone writes from only one side, Epinions will become very boring. I love the serious reviews, AND the funny reviews. But most of all - I love the different reviews. For example (by complete random numbers, if 95% of McDonalds reviews drone on about lack of customer service and greasy food ... sure, that maybe good to know when deciding. BUT, it's that 5% of different multi-sided reviews that capture my attention.
Dear Fellow Epinionators! Express your view - don't let a couple of bad ratings make you get in line with the crowd. Don't try and please people by saying what they want to hear.
Say what you want to say. Say it how you want to say it.Make it original! (And for Pete's Sake! Don't let your little fingers near a Ford Windstar!)
