| zerosparx's Full Review: Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master for Sega G... |
I have always wanted to play the Shinobi series but I never had a Sega but with the invention of the emulator I have been able to play it.
Graphics:8/10
They are old yes, but everything looks very chinese and ninja-like. Shinobi himself looks great sporting a red and white ninja suit. I know I will get some bad feedback for giving Shinobi a 8/10 for graphics but I ask why not, thery not state of the art I know but they actually were the best back in the old days.
Sound:10/10
Music is the best Ive heard from the 16-bit era. Having good techno beats with a hint of Chinese sound.
Gameplay:10/10
Shinobi is a typical side-scroller with a lot of speacial thrown in. There are many kinds of speaical moves to choose from and dispacthing enemies is the funnest its ever been. Bosses are easy to destroy but some give you a little flustration. Control is the very good from walking to wall jumps controling your ninja is very crisp and clean.
Plot:N/A
There is a plot in Shinobi but its not all explanied. It doesnt really matter either the good music and gameplay make it well worth it anyway.
