When I went to buy my Beltronics Vector 985 Radar Detector it was surprising how steep the prices were both online and off. Buydig.com did have the lowest price I could find, however I was reluctant to buy from Buydig.com admittedly due to the site's stone age appearance.
About the site:
Buydig.com is a site that specializes in selling digital equipment, hence the name Buydig. From audio equipment to telescopes, Buydig.com sells just about anything digi fans could dream of. No membership is required to buy from Buydig.com, you simply can use your credit card at checkout. If you do not have a credit card, you can send Buydig a check or money order. While you most likely will end up waiting a few days longer for your order to be processed versus going with a credit card, (Buydig must receive payment and confirm) this is a noteworthy feature that enables the site to accommodate almost anyone.
Navigation through the site is extremely simple. What initially threw me off when ordering from Buydig was just how simple this site is to use; it just seemed too easy. Yes, the visuals on the site are very simplistic; no cool icons to click on and no interesting online mascots, however everything is organized very well and shopping/browsing at this site is a piece of cake. Buydig.com also does not hassle you with annoying pop-up ADs. Downloads from page to page are very fast. Buydig.com also offers product descriptions on almost every product which help aid in making intelligent buying decisions.
Note: If you live overseas you must call (732)752-4466 to make an order. Also note that many products have optional extended warranties.
My Impressions/Experience:
I have only used Buydig.com on one occasion and was extremely happy with my online purchase. Not only was the site easy to use, but this site saved me quite a bit of money. I found my Beltronics 985 at Buydig for $200 when most online services were selling this product for almost 60 dollars more. Shipping and handling is a bit steep, for 1 day delivery you can be charged up to $150.00 depending on what type of delivery and the cost of your purchase. I am a firm believer that shipping should be based on weight not the price of a product. My small radar detector should not have cost 30 dollars to send via Fed EX (7 day delivery). Overnight delivery for anything between 100-500 dollars is a whopping $64.00 and can run all the way up to $150. If I would have went 1 day delivery that would have been more than 30% of the price of my $200 radar detector; no thanks.

On a positive note, my Beltronics 985 arrived in less than 7 days, (about 4), and arrived in perfect shape. I am also satisfied with the customer service department. When calling to talk with a representative there is usually not a wait longer than 5 minutes.
Aside from the Plain Jane format design and the ultra expensive shipping charges, my gripes also include the lack of many listed prices. Some products require you to call Buydig in-order to get the price; I don't like this when I see this sort of thing in a newspaper ad, nor do I like it with an online site. The selection in some areas is also limited, such as radar detectors. I was surprised they had the model I wanted considering they only had like 6 models available.
Final Thoughts:
Buydig.com has offered an excellent online experience. This site is recommended to anyone, especially electronic enthusiasts. I would definitely use Buydig.com again, in fact I will most likely be using Buydig when I buy my first digital camera, I'll update and add that experience to my review. In addition to checking out BuyDig I also suggest checking out Etronics.com
