The Bottom Line: I recommend this laptop because it is bright, strong, runs well, includes all the ports, sounds good, and is a great pc for the price.
I bought this laptop new and doubled the RAM. It runs like a dream. I was a little skeptical about Windows ME, but have found it to be more stable than anything else - and Toshiba was not willing to help me install a different OS.
It's really fast and strong at multitasking. The display is bright. It's got all the ports built in and includes the built-in network card and modem. All around a great laptop.
Toshiba's tech support, though the girl I spoke with was less than knowledgeable, offers 24 hr support. And I wasn't onhold more than 3 minutes on a Friday afternoon before I was talking to a real person. So far, so good.
