Anything to help me continue to work out. That's the way I look at it. And this tool was good to get me going. I bought
the software to go on my Palm IIIc.
It was easy to install. You get a journal wizard when you first install the software. Here you place your age, current exercise level, and goals for the next six week.
You can choose biking, weight lifting, running, or whatever.
Once you sync this onto your Palm, you have your daily workout goals and your online food diary.
Quirks I've Found:
**The food journal is sufficient, but the problem comes in when you have to add a food item. You have to find the calories and all that stuff. That makes it not so good for me.
It does have many fast food items already online like Burger King, McDonalds, etc.
I just have a problem logging in the food items. I don't know... maybe it's me.
**The exercise sessions are set for folks that run, walk, and lift weights. The weight training exercises are broken down into tricep curls, biceps, etc.
The problem I have with this regiment is that I do mostly exercise videos. I am not gonna sit there and figure out how many biceps reps and leg raises I've done in this one video.
therefore it doesn't give me an accurate calorie-burned count.
I find this utility great for logging what I eat and do everyday; thus keeping me on track. But as far as having an accurate calorie counter and burner--- this is not sufficient for me.
