Great camera for the money.

Written: Mar 06 '03 (Updated Mar 07 '03)
Pros:Very effective web camera. Great coloring and great angels.
Cons:Very advanced.
The Bottom Line: All in all this product is something I would recommend.

This camera is one of the better ones I have seen. This camera has everything you need for the money you pay for it. It is easily mounted on top of your computer or wherever you would like it. A fast and reliable camera for your everyday needs. Share videos, voice messaging, video messaging, video e-mail, and video or picture cards.

Price

I believe this price is an excellent price. At $46.92 this is a great gift for anyone in your family. Also it is good for people who live far away from you. Although people live far away does not mean that you cannot keep in touch with them and see them and even talk to them. To talk to them though, you need to have a microphone. This certain VEO Web Cam has a built in camera. You can view other microphones on this epinions website.

System Requirements

This camera requires very little as far as today's computers go. It requires the use of Windows and a personal computer. Windows 98 or higher is needed. The camera can show up to 30 frames per second although I have seen it to be up to 45 frames per second. I would recommend a 400 mhz processor minimum and around 20 MB's ram minimum. Disk space should not be a problem for most people. Even if you are running low on hard drive space available you should still be fine. Around 200 MB's of free space would be good.

The Camera video and images

This camera can take still images or movies. The images will come out in .JPEG or .BMP format. You can later alter this via a picture program, such as MS Paint. The video will be a .AVI file. I prefer .MPG over .AVI but that is only a person preference.

The camera works with the majority of computers that are currently available.
