Pros: Comfortable, good sound system, Transmission, ride
Cons: Dependability
The Bottom Line: Due to above mentioned problems, the dealers attitude, Chevy's responses, I am reluctant to recommend this truck. It is solid riding, comfortable, good looking when it's all together

| truckdog's Full Review: 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Reg Cab |
Bought the truck new, 2500 hd, duramax, extracab, long bed, 4X4.
Installed tool box and spray-on bedliner. Very good truck for 1st 35,000 mi. Since then park/neutral switch on trans went out (2 day repair at dealer-partial coverage by dealer), the sheet metal on the side of the bed is ripping vertically approximately 3 inches back from the junction of the head and side rails (so far Chev. has not repaired, rip has grown to approximately 1") not from any damage on my part. At 56,000 mi. an injector blew in the engine (27 days to repair at dealer and cooped up in a Cavalier). Until these problems a very comfortable truck, very strong engine and good riding. Reasonable (18-19)mpg for city/highway driving. Good visibility and brakes. Except for the small problem with the P/N switch the transmission has been great. One other minor complaint/question, why would a designer/engineer make skid plates on a 4X4 out of plastic?
