Pros: No software or driver needed! Remote control. Easy external install.
Cons: Hard to find.
The Bottom Line: If you see it for $49 buy it! If you see it for $79 buy it!
It is worth much more than that.

For the money, you can't beat this product! Why more of these didn't sell I will never know. You can pick it up now for a song....anywhere from $49 to $79. It is worth it regardless of whether you get it on the high end or low end. Before this I spent $150 on an Extigy from Creative Sound Blaster. I sold the Extigy on ebay and kept the NEWQ. This processor sold for $229 when it first hit the shelves. That may be overpriced, but for what it sells for now you can't beat it. Works on almost all PCs with no conflicts. Works great on any 2 or 4 channel sound card and makes a $20 sound card sound as if it cost $200. Now some details:
This little device gives you a PC home theater audio system. It is great for games too. It turns an average sound card into a great sounding card! It has a 7 band graphic digital equalizer. Built in FM radio. And the AUX setting lets you hook up an MP3 player, mini disk, CD player, Cassette, or for that matter anything else. The SRS surround contains the follow settings: Hall, Live, Club Stadium, and SF. Between the TS (Trusurround) setting, the DSP (Digital Signal Processor), and the EQ controls you have a large varity of settings. For those of you that need this type of thing here are the Spec's:
Total Harmonic Distortion is 0.13%. Signal to Noise Ratio is 104dB. Channel separation is 47 dB. Freq. Response is 20Hz 20KHz. Equalization is 60Hz, 150KHz, 400Hz, 1HKz, 2.4KHz, 6KHz, 15KHz. Channel separation is 42dB.
For the rest of us I think the words, "it kicks butt for the money" works just fine.
