My mouse has no balls

The Bottom Line Go forth and be known as "mouse."
I know I'll probably get banned from Epinions for a title like that, but if PhoenixFlight started it. (Later in my review, I'll explain what it means.) When choosing a mouse, go with one that works. You can get a $10.00 mouse, but it will probably last you all of a month. You can get one of the ergonomically-designed ones, but the truth is that it's ergonomically designed to cost you more money. You're probably best with something in the $20-$30 range. It's affordable (for a mouse) but it will last you a while.
If you really want to get fancy, go for an optical mouse. My brother and I go one mostly got the novelty, but I have to admit that it's lasted longer that I'd expected. The thing with normal mice is that the balls will wear out and either have to be cleaned or replaced. Optical mice have no balls and seem to be able to last longer because of this.
Another feature I like to look for in a mouse is the wheel located between the buttons. (I believe it's called an Internet tracker or something like that.) It makes things a lot easier when I have to scroll through a document or something. It's not really that big a deal, but I thought I'd mention it.
