Pros: inexpensive
Cons: misleading contract, ability to change contract provisions at any time, adds charges at will
The Bottom Line: In a nutshell, Suncom is horrible. We are counting down the days until our contract is up!

We live in Charlottesville, VA and thought Suncom would be a good choice. We travel up to Washington, DC quite a bit and needed a flexible plan. When we signed up for the plan we were told we could expand our plan to include AT&T service area for a charge of $10. In the middle of our plan, that fee not only increased to $15, but they also wanted to charge us $35 for every change. We figure we should be grandfathered in. According to a supervisor, "you have to take the bad with the good." Apparently, Suncom cares more about jacking up their prices in a plan period and socking it to existing customers, rather than keeping their customers happy. For those interested in cancelling, make sure you send your letter 60 days prior to your end date...or you will be forced into another year long contract!!!! Also, review your bills very carefully...strange charges have been bound to show up on ours.
