We purchased the Lexmark 73 printer/fax/copier/scanner at Target when we upgraded our computer. It was new on the market when we purchased it so we paid more than what they are selling for now. It was still cheaper than the previous printer we had and does so much more.

My husband hooked it up in an evening with no problems. It is not networked with any other computer.

I especially like the fact that it's fast and easy to use. We had a separate scanner and it wasn't exactly user friendly. It's as simple to use as a click of the mouse or pushing a button. It's very user friendly because it talks to you and lets you know exactly what's going on: "printing"; "printing complete"; "load paper in auto sheet feeder"; "download complete"; "check ink cartridges".

The print quality is adequate for our home needs. It's somewhat faster than the Canon bubblejet that we had. we printed our Christmas photo from the digital camera on Kodak paper and everyone thought we had them done through a professional.

The print cartridges can be expensive. You need two--color and black. You can buy them at Target, Wal-Mart and Staples. The black cartridge usually runs about $10 no matter where you buy it and the color cartridge varies between $15-$20.

We haven't used the fax feature yet so I can't address that feature.

The one thing I've found is that it doesn't seem to let you do anything else until the print screen is done.

It's well worth the money.
