like on the use of the machine as a copier... is it clear? Are you happy with the quality of machine as a copier? If you've used the scanner part of the machine, do photos and documents come out clear... is the color accurate in your eyes?

You mentioned that the ink cartridges can be expensive... which unfortunately the case for many inkjet printers. $10 for a black cartridge and $15-20 for a color cartridge isn't very expensive but it would be if you needed to change them often. Do the ink cartridges last you a long time like 500-600 pages or do you find that you have to change them after 100-200 pages of printing? To give you an idea... I get at least 600 pages of black text printing on my DeskJet 935 and 990 (Ink costs $25). I get 450-500 pages of black text printing on my DeskJet 5550 and PSC 2210 (Ink costs $20).

Thanks for your comment. I'm not sure I know the answers to all your suggestions. I'm not that much of a computer whiz.

Great start to this review, and it sounds like you are very happy with this printer. A few more details would put your readers in great position to decide whether or not to buy, ie expand on what you mean by somewhat faster print speed and how text and graphics quality is on plain inkjet paper. Also you might mention the capabilities of the scanner and scanning software, optical character recognition, filing system for scans or phote editor, etc. Is their a modem built into this device or does the fax require a modem to be in your computer? Hope your printer/scanner/copier continues to work well.
