Hi, there's a slight error in your review. They do accept defective items for return and they pay shipping. Here's the current policy from their website:
Return Policy
Our return policy is not to accept merchandise for return except in factory sealed, unopened cartons, unless the merchandise is defective.
Any goods (except DSS and Televisions*) which prove to be defective within fifteen days of delivery may be credited or exchanged for a replacement of the same model. OneCall will pay shipping costs for replacement merchandise. Simply call us at 1.800.340.4770 for a return authorization number. No returned merchandise will be accepted without a valid return authorization number on the shipping label.
All returned merchandise must be in original carton with all manufacturers included accessories. Missing accessories will result in a reduced credit amount by the actual replacement cost of those items. Original merchandise box must not be defaced or altered in any way. Merchandise initially returned as defective, whose defect cannot be verified, will incur a minimum 15% restocking charge as well as a freight charge for replacement shipment. Merchandise initially shipped 'double-boxed' must be returned to OneCall in like fashion.
Purchaser is responsible for shipping to our warehouse at: 229 N. Ella Rd., Spokane WA 99212 or United States Postal Service P.O. Box 13069, Spokane, WA 99213. Properly returned defective merchandise will be replaced without a restocking charge. Any merchandise that arrives damaged requires special attention. In the event this occurs, please call immediately. If you have any questions, please call us toll free at 1.800.340.4770. Credits will be posted to the appropriate account within 14 days of receipt.
*DSS and Televisions (mail order or retail) are always repaired directly through the manufacturer depending on that manufacturers policies.
**SPECIAL DSS NOTE: DSS Activation agreement. If the first time subscriber note is on your order, we have allowed a First Time Activation Credit of $250 which has been reflected in your purchase price. It is your obligation to activate your DirecTV account within 30 days of purchase. If we have not been notified of a delay in activation, your credit card will be billed $250 if your unit has not been activated within 30 days of purchase. If you are having a problem with activation, please call us toll free at 1.800.340.4770.
Please note: Customers will receive less than full credit on any merchandise returned to sender as either refused or undeliverable (other than freight damaged goods) due to return shipping charges.
