Pros: Great Graphics, ATC a welcome addition
Cons: It is a large program, good memory and fast processor recommended.
The Bottom Line: Overall great game, amazing graphics and sound. High leves of realism and interaction with ATC. The water texture is amazing.

Recently I upgraded from Flight Simulator 98 to FL2002 Profesional Edition. I have to say I was more than impress. The level of realisism is outstanding, not to mention so accurate. To start the planes are just perfect and my favorite is the Floatplain. They engine sound is so real you can even start the engine. (Not possible on 98) the texture is just amazing and so real. (all this requires processing power) The scenery is well very detailed, you have trees and lots of buildings. (Major cities get the accurate type and amount of building)The ATC or air traffic control feature on this game is great. I like the fact that you can hear other traffic communications and see other planes in the air.(Mid air collitions are possible) ATC will issue traffic alerts to you.
In this game another thing that I like is that you can download airplanes from a website (www.fs2002.com). You may also download scenery and accurate panels for some of the aircraft downloaded. This airplanes range from category, some of them might not work to well. My favorite so far is a B-2 stealth bomber. The weather in this fligh simulator is amazing, rain, snow, thunder, and yes even lightning. The clouds are amazingly real, and you can actually download real weather condition. All in all this is a great game, if you have a good pc with the minimun requirements I suggest you buy it. It is not a figthers games so don't expect some bight deal action. Althouhg I have manage to literally leave the wing of my American A300 in a tree and the crash. ( note they have in the FS2002 website the Boeign Osprey the plane that has the helicopter engines and can take up and land vertically)
