I just bought this pair yesterday and they are awful! I can barely open and close them. I read on PatternReview.com that I'm not the only unsatisfied Fiskars owner. I'm taking them back to JoAnn's ASAP. I have other Fiskars which are enjoyable to use, but someone fell asleep at the wheel designing the pinking shears!

... but I've often thought I needed a pair of pinking sheers for some reason or the other. But perhaps, as you've mentioned, a pair of decorative cutting 'craft' scissors would serve me better.
