Opinion Summary
Vin Chilla works but chill times a bit exaggerated
by carryino | Mar 24 '03
Pros: small, light weight and easy to use and understand, faster than a fridge
Cons: Chill times were exaggerated. A little noisy w/the way it churns the ice water

Hello!

I am thinking of buying the vin chilla, but am not impressed by these chill times! My mate has a similar thing and says that it is no good putting water and ice in, you just have to put in ice, otherwise it doesn't come out chilled. Have you tried that?

Thanks for your feedback. You're right, I could have made it easier to read by putting paragraph breaks. Will do next time. If you're looking for a consumer cooler, I'd be curious to see how the other wine chiller called the cooper cooler performs. If I didn't have the vin chilla already, I'd try the other one since it claims its faster, wine to 43F in 6mins on their website.

Very interesting device! (Reply to this comment)

I've seen larger models at local markets that hold several bottles at a time and chill them as you shop ... but I didn't know they made a 'home size' version! Cool!

One note ... I know you have all the info in there, but it would be a bit more 'user friendly' if you edited in some paragraph breaks or blank lines by adding in a few extra returns. It's a tiny little thing ... but it might make a big difference to some readers.

Enjoyed the review!
