The Choices & Uses
There you have it, all the flavors and styles of Chap Stick. All of them offer different degrees of sun protection, different flavors, different textures, and sometimes colors.
For those of you going to the beach, the would probably want to use the ULTRA CHAP STICK. The kids, along with some of the adults are going to love the FLAVA-CRAZE ones. Some will not ever want to switch from the ORIGINAL. While other may be stuck on the other CHAP STICK CLASSICS. Each Chap Stick will suit the needs of a different person. One thing that is for sure is that there is a type for everyone. They certainly have enough different ones to chose from.
Chap Stick is great on chapped lips. It heals lips, moisturizes them, and protects them from further or future damage. It doesn't just heal, but it prevents lips from getting chapped, sunburned, or windburned. It's good for any climate. It's just great stuff and it really works. My mother instructed me to use it when I was a kid and had chapped lips from the cold and wind. I still use it and will continue using it.
A few things that most of you wouldn't know about Chap Stick is that it has a few other uses than what you would normally think of. You can use it on more things than what the label tells you.
I have found that Chap Stick works excellent to help chapped hands. Sometimes it works even better than hand creams. I've tried many hand creams, but if my hands are chapped severely, I'll use the Chap Stick before I go to bed and wake up with soft hands. It is especially good for knuckles.
When I lived in New York my knuckles would get so raw and chapped that if I made a fist they would start to bleed. Chap Stick was the most effective thing I tried.
Not only does it work good on hands, but it works well on your face. If you have a cold and have been blowing your nose relentlessly, then Chap Stick is the answer once again. It will take away the soreness, redness, and flaking skin.
It also works quite well with lipstick. I use it with lipstick all the time. It gives it an extra shiny look to it. Or if a lipstick I bought is a little dry, Chap Stick will give it that extra moisture it needs, while keeping my lips soft and healthy looking.
This is another little known fact, but believe it or not, Chap Stick can actually help you and your pet. If I rub a little Chap Stick (cherry flavor) on my cat, whatever area I put it on he'll immediately start licking that area. So if you're cat has been outside, it's a little wet out, and he is refusing to clean up after himself while he waits on the porch to be let in, then put some on his paws! He'll clean up after himself then! It might even help him clear hairballs. Vasoline can help a cat clear a hairball, so Chap Stick might even have the same effect.
Conclusion-
Well, now you know more about Chap Stick than you ever wanted to know. So go out and get some. It's affordable, it works great, and you got a huge variety to chose from. You never know what other use you might find for it!
