Pros: Many input devices.
Cons: Can view recorded programs only on this PC.
The Bottom Line: I would not leave this PC powered on unattended. Extremely disappointed in HP's attitude towards public safety, and refusal to compensate for damages caused by defective PC.

I purchased this PC recently. Ergonomically it is very nice. I had recently purchased a ATI Radeon 9700 Pro video adapter. In addition I had purchased an additional 512meg memory chip for this PC. I removed the side panel for the installation of these 2 items. Prior to the installation I decided to fire up the PC to verify the PC was working properly. After a few minutes I detected an electrical odor. Fearing electrocution I did not touch the PC at all but just looked for any obvious source for the odor, electrical arching started occurring and smoke began to pour out of the PC. All I could do was to pull the power plug. After calling HP and explained how my house almost burned down and described all the smoke damage they appeared very understanding. After 15 minutes I was transfered to the QA dept. where I was informed that I was responsible, because I operated the PC with the side panel removed. I couldn't find anywhere in the manual that operating the PC with the side panel removed could be a fire hazard.
