I started looking for a new system some time ago. I was ready to replace my old 200mhz Gateway with a faster model. Before I bought I looked into upgrading my memory and installing a new operating system. At the same time my hard drive failed me. I knew I had to get a new system.
My first looks went right to the big names – Dell, Compaq, & Gateway. I found lots of promotions and some very fast systems there. What I couldn’t find was a price that I could live with. I wanted to get a new printer and scanner with my system. Most of the promotions were on things I really didn’t want or need. I tried specking out the same system on Dell, Gateway and Micron. Without fail Micron always came in a better price for what I was getting.
I ended up with the following system:
MILLENNIA MAX XP

I was able to retrieve my shipment location through the UPS codes provided in my email confirmation. I knew exactly which day it would arrive.
Setup was a snap. Once I had everything connected all I had to do was plug it in and I was up at lightning speed. I have been happy with the Windows me so far. The HP combo printer/fax/copier/scanner is great. I’ve been so busy catching up on the web pages I’m building that I haven’t even had time to try out the DVD or CD burner.
The only thing I can say bad about the machine is it’s fan noise is a bit more than I’d hoped. My last system you would barely know it was on. This one I can hear upstairs. For the speed and power I’ve gained, I think I will be able to tolerate it.
