Our family went in August and saved a lot since rates drop to $99 per night in mid august. It is hot this time of year but the massive amount of palm trees and foliage they put around the pool and decks make it nice and shady. They have a beautiful outdoor pool with small waterfall and hot tub, a children's playground and lots of private decking with abundance of trees and beautiful flowers. The beach was clean and not crowded. The most negative thing is the size of the rooms, if you are a family with children it might get crowded. We put a blowup mattress between our two beds to give us more sleeping room but then had no walking room. There is a full size refrigerator and small table with 2 chairs but they are all squeezed together. The floor is tiled not carpeted so its cleaner. Every room has a beautiful view of the ocean, it goes up 14 floors and I think the 12th floor has the best view. The restaurant with the "free kids meals" serves a lot of fried fatty foods with no other options but with the fridge you can bring your own snacks to keep. There is a nightly DJ and sunset torch lighting ceremony that is a lot of fun for the kids, they give everyone a lei. A tram takes you to and from the parking lot and right across the street is a small strip mall with restaurants. Several miles down the road is park with some jetties which makes it easy to snorkel and a ferry to take you to shell island. I would save my money and not go to the miracle strip park but definitely do the shell island excursion. The miracle strip park seemed cheesy and expensive and we have better amusement parks near where we live.
