I realized that I might have a bias. So, in order to maintain objectivity, I used this as my main phone for an entire week while going about my business in the tri-state area. They are both excellent phones. And I predict that they will both be excellent sellers for the two manufacturers. However since they are both competing for the same consumer $$s, they needed to be compared. (ref to my reply to 'vartian' below) I'm positive that you will enjoy the Nokia a lot.

Thanks for your kind comments,
Ashok

Great Job (Reply to this comment)

An overall great review. I'm looking to get this phone once the price drops. I was going to pick up the P800 (I got to play quite a bit with the prototype thanks to my SonyEricsson Rep) but I don't think it well be dropping into my price range anytime soon.

The only thing that I was wondering is do you think that you would have rated it higher if you never used a P800. I know its tough to say yes or know reall I was just wondering.

Re: Excellent Review...one Question Though (Reply to this comment)

Aram,
Both these products have too many similar features that were screaming to be compared. Camera, video playback, memory expansion slots, Symbian OS’s, Bluetooth, PC connectivity, to name a few. Different manufacturers are entitled to set their own price points. But regardless of the price, this is still an apple to apples comparison. When different manufacturers have competing products in the same product subcategory, consumers are best served with an objective comparative evaluation. IMHO even at a higher price, I found the Sony model to be better designed and more user friendly.

I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment on my Opinions.
Thanks,
Ashok

Excellent Review...one Question Though (Reply to this comment)
by vartian
I loved your reviews and plan on reading a lot more of them. One question though; do you think it was fair to compare the Nokia 3650 to the Sony Ericsson P800, a phone that currently retails for twice the price of the Nokia? It just dosen't seem like a fair fight to me.

It's a little on the medium to big size, but still a very good phone.
Thanks

I have never seen this Nokia model before. I must say, it is one of the most stylish designs I've seen. I think they look great. Sounds like it has some decent features as well. Excellent review.

Howard,
About the Meade CaptureView, I guess Epinions doesn't want to add it to their database. Too bad.
Thanks for trying and for your wonderful comments.
