Re: Excellent information (Reply to this comment)

I know, it seems that there is plenty confusion between Samsung's cryptic modifiers and the listings for most vendors. I am not sure there are actually different models out there, could be a modifier, mentioned vendors add. (Also keep in mind those could be Grey imports with non-US designations.) I wish I could help you, but it seems that the 348 model in general has 8MByte. Realistically though, it may not have any impact most of the time.

Excellent information (Reply to this comment)

This review is very helpful. The price has dropped $10-15 since the review which is normal ($69-81 is what I find). I cannot find any review that explains the difference between the SM-348, SM-348BEA, SM-348BRAS. Some websites list the model as having only 2mb buffer, and I wonder is this is a typo. For example, Newegg.com and Googlegear.com at this writing list the SM-348BEA as having only 2mb buffer but others list the same model with an 8mb buffer. Since the Samsung website describes only the SM-348 without any additional letters (BEA or BRAS) as 8mb buffer, the indication is that all the models are 8mb, but I would make sure before I bought from them since the price is the same as those listed with the 8mb buffer.
