Pros:Works in Europe
Cons:No coverage in many part of U.S.
The Bottom Line: This is a great phone but make sure to check on the coverage first.

I activated two Ericsson T28 World phones three months ago. So far, the phones have been great. At three oz., the phone is so small and light that it fits in a shirt pocket with a PDA! Standby and talk time is excellent. With light use, I charge it every other day. The phone has just about every bell and whistle imaginable including, voice dialing and short message service. The menu system is well organized and fairly easy to navigate. The two games are great for killing time at airports. One feature that I really like is automatic calling card management. With this feature, I just press and hold the send button to use my calling card. The phone automatically calls the toll free access number and then sends the phone number and calling card number. When I've had questions, Ericsson customer service has been very helpfull.

My main reason for selecting the T28 was because it can be used in Europe. I travel a lot on business and wanted a phone that would work in Europe. The trade-off is that my carrier does not have coverage in many parts of the U.S. that I travel to. The T28 is a GSM phone. GSM is the standard for cell phones in Europe, but is not as common in the U.S. VoiceStream and Nextel are to two big GSM service providers in the U.S. So, when I go to Chicago, I borrow my wife's phone
