For less than $200 bucks a month, you can't do any better!

Pros: Price, fuel economy, legroom, lots of storage, quiet engine at highway speed, amazing blue guages
Cons: No folding mirrors, no variable intermittent wipers, seats hug too tightly, narrow
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for an economical, reliable commuter car that is still a little classy, you can do no better than the Civic.

I needed to replace a leased Jetta with an economical new car and my new Civic has been awesome! The engine and tire noise is very quiet at highway speed (revs 700 RPM less than my Jetta).
I am also very impressed with the price. You can lease a Civic LX automatic for less than $200 per month with nothing down and the car gets 38 miles per gallon on the highway! This makes for a great economical commuter car. It has plenty of head and legroom front and back but you'll be bumping elbows if you have a passenger.
I have a tan interior and I am impressed with how classy it looks inside and the guages have an amazing blue glow to them that is really neat!
