ARMOR ALL: your PDA's unsuspected friend
by transgenik | Feb 25 '01
Don't spend lots of money on specialized products to take care of your PDA's fragile screen. A cheap car product, Armor all, is all it takes!

One more tip on spray-on cleaners and protectants... (Reply to this comment)

Just in general, I suggest that when you use any spray-on cleaner or protectant, you spray it onto a soft cloth first, then try applying it to a very small area of what you want to clean or protect. This is for these two important reasons:

* You can experiment a bit and check the results. * You also don't risk soaking the thing with the spray.

By the way, ArmorAll is a great product and will spiff up just about anything made of plastic or rubber. STP's "Son of a Gun" is basically similar, I think, and there are probably other good competing products that have emerged since ArmorAll became available in the 1970's.

(Written by Neil, who used to work in a music store and once got chewed out for spraying cleaning stuff directly on the keyboard of a $10,000 baby grand piano.)
