I am very sorry about your experience. Fortunately, I have not had to send my laptop in for service. If there was a review category on Epinions for Ashton Digital, I would definitely add more detailed info about Ashton's technical support, but so far my laptop has been excellent. And this review is about using your laptop as a desktop, so I would be off category to comment much more than I did about Ashton Digital. Also, if you go to most any computer category on this site, there will be horror stories.
Bottom line for Ashton Digital: I think this is a great product, but Customer Support is at a bare minimum (ie. no 800 number, you pay shipping).
Thanks for your heads up on the Passport & Ashton Digital Customer support.
