The Canon i550 is a reliable, easy to use, high quality color printer. Canon's four cartridge system allows to replace only the color which is low, saving you money on ink cartridge refills. Print quality for both text and photos is excellent. Canon includes five sheets of photo paper in the package for you to sample how well the printer prints photos.
The paper loading system is effortless and virtually jam free. The printer is quiet and is equipped with a door over the output tray. When you're done printing, you slide the tray back into the printer and close the door. This is useful to keep the unit dust free. Canon's included software is top notch. The driver software provided is extremely stable and user friendly, and the Canon Web site is easy to navigate and provides quick access to updates.
The one major shortcoming of this printer is the amount of waiting time required before the printer begins to print for the first time after turning it on. This is easily overlooked since all other aspects of this printer are excellent.
