| uberjedi's Full Review: Dreamhost |
After having a horrible experience with several other web hosting services, I decided to go from small, local services, to a larger company. After shopping for awhile, I chanced upon Dreamhost, over 8 months later, I'm still in awe of their service and support.
Dreamhost is a web developer's... well... dream. What caught my attention first off is DH's incredible account administration system. Not only does it allow you to do everything imaginable with your website, but it compacts features you wouldn't normally expect to see within a control panel, such as billing information, statistical information, email, ftp and user information all in one place. Not only that, the panel is designed in such a way that all the domains you own (even domains not purchased throught Dreamhost!) can be edited and changed all at the same place, no need to re-login.
Dreamhost is ran on a Unix-based server, so server reliability is extremely high. Dreamhost offers an enormous variety of features, such as SQL Databases, subdomains, full CGI, PHP, SSI, Flash and RA support, email and all the standard goodies. Pricing is very affordable for your needs, with flexible plans ranging from small to corporate level sites.
If you're looking to a domain of your own, or if you're a developer with several already in your arsenal, Dreamhost is right for you.
