| ginaav's Full Review: Lexmark X75 Multifunction Copier / Printer / Scann... |
I bought my Lex mark X-75 back in December 2002. It came included in the computer package I bought when I paid the fifty extra dollars to upgrade to it. Let me tell you that was the best fifty dollars I have ever spent. This multi-function printer has been a dream since I hooked it up in my home office the day of purchase. It does it all. Print and copy in both color and black and white, scan and faxes.
It set up easily. Was just a matter of plugging it in and attaching it to the computer with the USB cord I bought. Once I plugged in the two ink cartridges that it was supplied and used the install CD that was also provided I was set and ready to go. This printer is always on and ready to go if your computer is on. Just go on about your tasks and if you need to print or another task just do it, Documents go straight through and come out quickly and quietly. This is one of the quieter printers I have seen. While you are printing or copying a little dialogue box will pop up and show you how far into the task it is and hoe much ink is left in your ink cartridges, so there is no need to check your ink to know how much you have left. Your printer will tell you, so you know when it is time to go out and buy fresh cartridges.
The scanning feature on this all-in-one is also easy to use and scans a variety of documents easily. Scanning everything from text documents to photos and even from newspapers and magazines is quite easy. I have used my scanner to scan from all these types materials recently with no trouble at all. Just put the chosen material on the scanner how you want it, and press scan. The scanner software will appear and give you options on what you want to do, and you go on from there. t even has a built-in image editor which is not as advanced as others you may have or use on your computer, but it is good for the basics.
Printing and copying is a breeze. With the dual cartridge set up, you can print and copy documents that contain both color and black and white images and text. The paper feeder has giving me no problems, and since I purchased it I have had no jams at all. The printing is high quality in both black and white and color.
The printer comes with almost everything you need to get started including software, both color and black and white ink cartridges and a detailed instruction manual that explains in detail how to use your new Lex mark with even helpful troubleshooting tips if anything was to go wrong. The only thing you need to buy is a US cable to hook up your printer to your computer.
