Pros:Fast,Colorful,Easy,Intuitive,Easily Expandable,Meets a Salesman's every data need.
Cons:Expensive...but worth it
The Bottom Line: How did I survive with only that archaic franklin planner for all those years?
A friend recently convinced me to go digital for all may planning needs. The rationale was that if I lost my beloved franklin planner, suicide would be the only reasonable and honorable option for me.
I knew NOTHING about PDA's so I went shopping. (AFTER reading epinions first) and decided on the I-PAQ after much self education. Why?
It's so simple that even a technophobe such as myself can use it with ease. I have found that the MSWord,MSExcel, and Outlook functions sync with ease, and to perfection to my home PC. I frequently take large volumes of notes that I transcribe and E-mail to associates. No more. With the help of a pocket keyboard, I type my notes into word on the I-PAQ and send them from my pocket to the web daily.
Missing an important appointment is a thing of the past. The I-PAQ will beep to remind you. LOUD and LONG until you respond.
The handwriting recognition software is THE BEST among pocket PC's.
By using with my pc version of outlook and MSMoney 2001 Deluxe, I can print off my itenerary monthly, or weekly and can even e-mail my activities to those who need to know where I will be. I record every financial activity in Money, and have SOOOOOOO much less work to do at night when I get home.
If you are considering a PDA, and you are willing to pay for the best, This IS the best.
I also have a good tip on where to find one! buyonenow.com seems to have an ongoing supply, and they do not attempt robbery upon those of us in need.
