| mungojerrie's Full Review: Sonic Blue Rio S35 128MB MP3 Player |
I debated between several MP3 players before purchasing the Rio and am glad that I purchased this one.
The Rio is more durable than I had initially expected when I purchased it. It has survived many bumps and bruises (and a fall or two on the ski slope) without a problem. Also, other players that friends have can "skip" when they are bumped. I have yet to experience this with the Rio.
The player comes with a different type of headphones than I had used before. Although they were new to me, the headphones are some of the better ones I have come across. They don't fall out of my ears when running or biking.
There are only two drawbacks: First, is that it is hard to organize the MP3's on the player. This may be due to the player or my use of MS Media Player to organize the MP3's instead of the recommended software. Second, the radio reception is not as great as I get with other portable radios. However, since I didn't purchase it for the radio reception, this was not a concern.
If you need a player with more memory (it unfortunately has a base of 128), then the Rio may not be for you. But if you need a good player that is worth the price, I highly recommend the Rio.
