| naid's Full Review: D-Link VisualStream DSB C310 Webcam - USB |
This webcam has a nice image quality(provided a good light source) even for its maximum image size (640 x 480 pixels). The webcam also has a built-in microphone. The design of the webcam is way cool for a webcam that costs below $30. The manual focus control works effectively and the microphone is very sensitive that it can record the faintest sounds. The microphone can record sounds clearly for a distance for up to 4 feet in normal voice level. However, it only supports USB 1 connection and not USB 2.
There is no problem using this webcam with online messenger services like yahoo messenger and msn messenger. You can also use other applications in creating home videos.
There is no problem installing the drivers however the software bundled with the webcam is not user friendly nor feature driven. The webcam stand easily bends. Thus, it is not durable.
