Pros: Fairly good coverage
Cons: Big price difference between new subscriber and repeat subscriber
The Bottom Line: If you must subscribe, make sure you let it lapse for 30 days between subscriptions and do it over the net. Or try the East Valley Tribune.

| sherri1402's Full Review: Arizona Republic |
Shortly after moving to Arizona, we received a call from a representative of the Arizona Republic asking us to subscribe and did so for 26 weeks. I thought the price was extremely high ($102) but didn't research it until I received the renewal bill. To renew for 26 weeks it would cost us $102.70..for 52 weeks, $200.20. I went to their website to check out prices there and for a new subscriber it would cost $65 for 26 weeks or $130 for 52 weeks...quite a difference! We called to confirm this and it's true. If you're a customer, you're gonna be charged almost twice as much. If you really like the paper, let it lapse for 30 days between renewals and get it cheaper. We're going to subscribe to the East Valley Tribute instead(their prices stay the same no matter who you are - and if you pay by credit card, it's only $48.10 for 26 weeks). It's amazing to me that the larger the company, the less they care about their customers and I feel like I'm really being ripped off.
