This thing is a waste of money if you spend more than a couple of minutes online at a time. It rings every two minutes even if no one is calling. So if you are online for an extended period of time like i am then you need to be able to tolerate a loud ring every two minutes. You never know if its someone calling or just a false ring.
I emailed tech support and three days later got an automated response telling me this was caused by have too short of telephone line. they suggested i add about 15 feet.
I wrote back explaining i already had 50. Three days later, I got another email telling me to try installing more telephone line between catch a call and my computer. I already had plenty but tried it again, but that did not help.
I wrote back and two days later i got an email telling me to return it at their expense. I asked for a return postage label but they said i would have to pay for postage.
I wrote back complaining that really didnt seem fair that i should have to pay postage since they had sold me a defective unit.
No response. It now is in the landfill.
The idea for this is good but it simply doesnt work. I suggest you get a modem that supports MOH v.92 instead and not waste your $50 on this unless you can deal with a the ringing every two minutes and having to guess if its a call or just a false ring
