| calwaone's Full Review: Reckitt & Colman 22 Oz Resolve Carpet Cleaner |
I use Reckitt & Coleman Resolve Carpet Cleaner on more than my carpets. I have found that it is an excellent way to rid most fabric furniture of spots and would-be stains. The secret, with fabric, is getting the spray onto the accident as soon as possible, and wiping it, gently, away!
First, I used this handy 22 ounce spray on my burgandy, plush carpets. The heavy traffic areas just wanted to LOOK as though they were used more than the other parts of the rooms. With the Resolve, I, simply, sprayed just enough onto the 'troubled' area, waited only a moment, and used a clean sponge to wipe away the tell tale problems. I had read that it does have a teflon base, and that is really good for areas such as I live in, . . .lots of rain, bringing dirt or even mud into the home. Of course, I, always wipe away any top soil that might be brought in from the yard, etc.. I do own a commercial type carpet steamer, and we do use it when needed. So, this Resolve spray is wonderful between cleanings with the big machine.
I found the Resolve to be very gentle with my carpets. I like that. Because it seems so gentle, I tried it on my sofa that is covered in a nice fabric. First, I tried it on a spot that could not be seen, in the back, under the part that is readily seen. It did not spot or stain the fabric. This excited me, as I do have grandchildren and a husband, who, accidentally, do have accidents, now and then, with drinks, most especially. I was cautious about using Resolve on the fabric, I didn't just spray and hope. All I can tell you, is that Resolve, used as quickly as possible, after the accident, works beautifully as a wonderful cleaner on that fabric! I had spoken to a friend who had just purchased her first set of sofa, loveseat, and matching chair, about Resolve. Her fabric is expensive Italian tapestry, and she was worried, as her husband is a commercial fisherman, and can plop onto the furniture, without notice, when he is straight off the ship. She called me, shortly after buying her beautiful set. Her husband had actually broken an ink pen in the center of the wonderful sofa! I was really ready to feel badly for her, when she informed me that she had grabbed the Resolve, sprayed it onto the 'wounded' area, and waited just a little while before sponging it up. ALL the ink was gone! The sofa appeared unharmed in any way!
For my family, Resolve does what it claims to do! It is the best spray on, wipe on, cleaner for the carpets that I have discovered. It is so easy to use! Shake it, spray it, wait, and sponge it up! The fact that it has multiple uses, such as a fabric cleaner, as well, is really a big thing to me. The 22 ounce part is great, also. I know that this amount of Resolve goes a long, long way, and lasts me a long time.
I think that anyone/everyone who has carpets, large or small, and/or fabric furniture NEEDS to keep Resolve in the cupboard. This is most highly recommended by me!
