The Bottom Line Is Epinions hearing us....the writer's.....at all?
Do the "powers that be" at Epinion care anymore about how the writers feel....I rather doubt it! They probably don't read these reviews either....BUT......I'm gonna write it anyway and if the "Powers" read this they are more than welcome to e-mail me a rebuttal! I think that Epinion's, in an effort to get the big advertising bucks, has put aside the wishes and desires of those (THE WRITERS @ Epinions) that built this site! I have just gone though my WOT, that was in place when Epinions shut down in January to make all it's upgrades, changes....and HALF of my WOT have left Epinions....maybe more than HALF!!!!!!!! HELLO?????? EPINIONS!!!!!! WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU?????????? The majority of my WOT were the writers that have been writing here since the first few months in which this site first started on the internet....the ones that truly did get Epinions off the ground....apparently the loyalty to the writer's in not there anymore....only to the advertisers dollars.....it's a shame! I've written here for over a year and made many friends at this site! I miss the ones that have left and feel I'm not far from that decision myself. In the beginning, Epinions made it easy for us to get to know each other and now it seems the site has become "Cold" and the options that helped us connect with each other are slowly vanishing. I'm saddened by this because to me what made this site special was not only the quality of the writing but the quality and quantity of the people we were able to connect with here! I see Epinions going the way of the restaurant, who opens and thrives creating wonderful food...people flock to enjoy their dishes and call friends to spread the word.... and then....to cut costs and make more money....they begin cooking with margarine....the food goes downhill....and they wonder why the customers stop coming....soon the restaurant is GONE! Is this the fate of Epinions????? How many of us who have been so dedicated to this site are going to start all over again to build our WOT's? IMHO and in response to 1truluv's review.......  |
