The ViewSonic NextVision N4 video processor is easily connected to your computer through your monitor to give you live TV on your monitor/display.
My use was not to use it through my computer but to make a flat panel display into a TV. Flat panel TV cost big dollars, a 15 inch flat panel TV runs at about $899. So I purchased the ViewSonic NextVision N4 video processor for $159 with a $30 mail-in rebate costing me $129. Then I purchased the MAG InnoVision LT 565 15 inch Flat Panel Display for $329 minus a $50 rebate which brings the monitor down to a nice low price of only $279. Total cost for my 15 inch flat panel TV comes to a little over $400 verses $899.
The ViewSonic NextVision N4
The ViewSonic NextVision N4 video processor is a small flat box with a light on the front of it that is red when off and green when on. In front is a plug for headphones or and extra pair of speakers, then there is an input button, plus/minus volume buttons, plus/minus channel buttons and a Off/On button.
In the rear are connections for the AC power adapter, audio out/in, RCA Audio and Video in, Antenna/Cable in, S-Video in, RGB output and a RGB input.
It produces high-resolution up to 1024x768 TV at full screen in full 24-bit color.
It lets you connect a DVD, VCR, gaming console, digital camera, camcorder, TV antenna and anything else you can think of.
The Remote
They provide a very small remote (28-buttons) with a lot of features like Volume, Channels, Inputs, PC/TV, Mute and much more. Nice little remote and easy to use!
Other Features
Built-in is a precision video processor that converts standard interlaced video into progressive scan which in return eliminates flicker and increases picture quality.
It can Auto tune TV broadcast and cable TV channels.
There is a built-in sleep timer automatically shuts off display at pre-determined times.
It allows the reception of audio other than main programming audio, SAP/MTS Stereo.
You can Watch TV or any inputs without turning on your computer.
Compatible with CRT, LCD, plasma and projection displays.

The only problem I have found with it is sometimes when you turn it on there will be no picture or lines running through it. It doesn’t happen often, all I do is turn it off and on again and it works great.
I have a regular TV antenna connected to it and with an A/B switch and RCA cables, I run my satellite dish and The Samsung SIR-T151 HDTV Tuner to it. To view the Dish or HDTV Tuner I have to use the input built-in the NextVision N4.
Using the system is easy to use, setting it up is also very easy. All I had to do is make my connections from my sources to the flat panel display. Hooking it to the computer is not any harder, they provide a cable that plugs in from your video card to the NextVision N4 and the monitor plugs also to the NextVision N4.
My wife and I love our new low budget flat panel TV thanks to the ViewSonic NextVision N4 video processor and the MAG InnoVision 15 inch Flat Panel Display.
