On a monthly basis I do a search at ebay.com under autism awareness to see what items are being sold. Since April is Autism awareness month I wanted to see if ribbons were being sold and other items to help promote awareness. I found Buttons And More Online Store through this search and viewed the sample links first.
It just so happens that the owner of the site, Richard, is the parent to a child with autism and offers quick personalized service on each order at Buttons And More Online Store. I mentioned the website at my support group meeting last month and another parent was able to get her order in time for the Cure Autism Now walkathon that was held earlier this month. She was very pleased and has continued to purchase from the site as well.
There are sixty-seven options for ordering buttons, magnets and keychains just for autism awareness. Other options include sending a photo to have the picture of the child on the button too. The buttons sell for $1.00, magnets $1.25 and keychains $1.50. I was able to use Paypal for my order too! I placed my order on a Saturday and received confirmation from Richard that night, even though he is on the East Coast. There is a chart displaying the cost for buttons when you order in certain quantities. The prices quoted do not include shipping and handling.
There are nineteen pages showcasing the premade autism buttons that can be purchased as magnets and keychains as well. There are specific buttons for teachers, siblings, grandparents and friends. I chose not to get one for either of my sons to wear, but there are plenty to choose from for those that are older or could tolerate the button on their clothing.
Besides autism there are buttons for pets, holidays, celebrations of any kind that you want to have made. You can have your own logo printed on a button, keychain or magnet. This is a great idea for groups and parties to buy in bulk. When you purchase twenty or less buttons the shipping fee is only three dollars! There are a few typos at the site that are easy to overlook when you realize this is the work of one individual, plus the product and service are what is important to me. There is a long alphabetized list of sayings you can order for a button, magnet or keychain.
