every time i start the software, the TV screen is a jumbled mess (as if you twisted the "v.hold" knob on an old TV.) I have to refresh the display every time i start the program to make it work. And sometimes that doesn't work either, and i have to refresh it 5 or 10 times before I get a picture...
Had the same problem after moving a TV Wonder VE card to an XP system. This problem is described at the ATI site in a FAQ here:

and upgrading the drivers to the beta 7.6 version as recommended fixed the problem.
What version of the drivers / ATI Multimedia Center do you have?
