| Suzer's Full Review: OxiClean Laundry Detergent |
If Bill's Monica had just been aware of OxiClean the stain specialist Laundry Detergent, she could have averted just a touch of embarrassment to herself, and her blushing family! I was using a very good laundry detergent that was allergen free, smelled wonderful, and was pleased with it for quite a while. Recently it occurred to me that perhaps I wanted it to be effective, but perhaps there was a product with stronger, and organic stain removers, and in researching it, discovered this product! I have been amazed by the effectiveness of the majority of the OxiClean, Orange Glo products, so the name alone was enough to motivate me to give it a shot.
Packaging:
OxiClean Laundry Detergent comes in a turquoise box weighing 44 oz (2.75 lb) 1.24 kg, and that amounts to 22 loads of super concentrated powder.
Claims by Orange Glo International:
OxiCleanŽ Laundry Detergent is a deep cleaning, stain-fighting detergent. It combines the stain and odor-fighting power of OxiClean Multi-Purpose Stain Remover with other cleaning agents to form one of the most high-performing laundry detergents available today. OxiClean Laundry Detergent lifts off stubborn stains, dingy buildup, and deodorizes washable items.
They further assure us that it is colorsafe, chlorine free, dye and perfume free, phosphate free, and is even safe for septic systems!
The product is described as being an organic stain remover and that is one of the major ingredients in this laundry detergent. It eliminates stains, makes them go away, and will remove stains that won't come out with other products. Because it doesn't have chlorine in it, you can safely use it for both your white and colored clothes.
They call it super concentrated because it contains more actual detergent, and less fillers.
They further state that the enzymes included eliminate the stains and soil permanently so they are not redeposited during the washing cycle. As most manufacturers claim, they say your clothes will be cleaner, brighter, and maintain their colors longer.
This product is made in the USA!

My experience:
I was rather excited when I received this product. While I am not Susie Homemaker, I do enjoy finding excellent products that are environmentally friendly, free of perfumes, dyes, chlorine, as there is less chance I will experience any slight rashes or other reactions. I was not thrilled however about the cost, and thought to myself, this product better give me a back-rub too, for what I am paying. Well, I am still waiting for my back-rub, but I found this to be one of the best laundry detergents I have ever used. It does require less product, and unless something is heavily soiled or stained, the enzymes included eliminate the need to use a pre-stain product, so that saves me money. On a couple of occasions I tested the laundry detergent without pre-stain application and it worked beautifully. However, if I was very concerned, I did it just to be on the safe side!
Where you can purchase this product:
It is possible this is available in your local stores, however I have not found it anywhere except online. Regardless, your best prices will be on the various websites, and it saves you the hassle of putting clothes on, and getting in the car!
Final thoughts and recommendations:
I have been using this product for a while, and I doubt very much that I shall return to any other. However, I am going to try and find the liquid version as that is my personal preference. If you have the same concerns I do about the safety and efficacy of the products you use I highly recommend you give OxiClean Laundry Detergent a look-see. I think you will be very pleased. Of course, read the directions before using, as it may differ from your present product. I am giving it four and a half stars!
