I went Bean (Reply to this comment)
by blue1968
When you're ready to give up being cool, I would recommend trying L. L. Bean jeans. The fabric is more comfortable, and the cut is better at the waist somehow. I think it goes under your belly instead of across it, so it gives you room to expand a little without straining. I have also tried on Eddie Bauer and Land's End but did not like the fit.

Well-put. And I'm not sure if Osh Kosh makes jeans!

That faded-in-the-azz thing is one of many fashion statements that I can't understand.

Does OshKosh - (Reply to this comment)

make jeans? I know they used to make darn good overalls. I love to wear jeans and matching jacket if I am traveling especially. Levi's are jeans - the Gaps are yuppie bate - in my opinion.

...with you on this one because I grew up about the same time you did. I just can't get used to this new looking (girls) jean with the specific areas purposely faded. They look goofy to me! Your review was well done, as always! I'm sticking with the old tried and true!

....that you have a lard-azz....what with all that horseback riding and baseball. I'm sure it's a very nice azz (although I can't see from here).
Nice review...like the personal touches.

I've found... (Reply to this comment)

similar results with comparisons of CERTAIN kinds of Gap jeans. Some are as durable as Levis, but others are definitely not. It's funny--I wore Levis 550s in High School and College because of their length. From there, I moved on to Levis 501's. Why? Well...I liked the straight-leg/boot-cut. Of couse, soon after I stopped wearing them they became pretty uncool. *My* size was 30/34. I dated a guy the SAME size at the time. He was VERY thin ;)
Anyway, very nice review. I get where you're coming from.
Shelly.
