Waited 14 days order never came, blamed everyone but themselves

I am very dissatisfied with PC Video Online. I placed an order with them Monday April 14, 2003 at 5:50pm via an online form. I placed an order for a Nikon Coolpix 3100 digital camera, submitted my info
credit card, address
etc. I upgraded my shipping to UPS Standard figuring that I could track my order. After, I received an order has been submitted message with my order number and another memo saying that a confirmation email has been sent to your email address. A few minutes later, I receive a telephone call from Jeff at PC Video calling to confirm my order. I did confirm that the order was correct and he proceeded with a sales pitch for accessories for my new camera, that the memory that came with the camera wasnt sufficient. I informed him that I already had a digital camera with memory and was just upgrading so I wouldnt need the extra memory. He was very persistent having to say no three or four times. He said OK and that the camera would ship shortly. I was kind of angry that I had to deal with the sales pitch before they would send my camera and that they didnt confirm the order via email like they said they would.
About a week later, I tried getting my tracking number from their website www.pcvideoonline.com. I entered my email address and it said that it wasnt in their system. It would make more sense to enter their order number but whatever. I started to think that there might be problems then but decided to wait another week and see if it came.
This brings us current, Monday April 28, 2003. I called their 1-888-609-4618 number and asked for a tracking number for my order. I was put on hold and filtered through about three different people with a wait time on ten minutes. I was asked if I confirmed my order. I said that I did. Then they ask me whom I spoke with. I tell them that I confirmed my order with Jeff. Then he tells me that they have been trying to put it on my credit card. I told him that theres no problem with my card and it has $10,000 limit. Then the guy tells me that Jeffs a rookie and that the order would be shipped within 24 hours. I said wait a minute, you mean the order hasnt even shipped yet!!! Then he tells me that Jeff was fired. OK first he was a rookie and now hes fired, very convenient there is now know one to blame. Wrong, your company you moron! It amazes me that the company didnt even take responsibility for screwing up and blamed everyone except themselves and didnt even apologize. The guy I talked with was Tom at ext 188. The only thing he did was offered to upgrade my shipping. I told him that he could cancel my order. He asked if there was anything he could do
at this point no you lost a customer!
