Time saver (Reply to this comment)

Under all versions of the Windows NT family (4.0, 5.0="windows 2000", 5.1=XP), U can save a lot of time formatting additional partitions by selecting the "quick format" option under the "format disk" dialog. If you are installing the OS on a brand new hard disk though, you have to wait for the painfully slow formatting.
Also, under NT 5.0 and newer, I suspect you can save disk space by disabling disk indexing. This feature lets you find files very quickly, but if all you have are a few directories with your photographs, indexing won't be much use. 6 GB is a LOT of space to be eaten up by the file system.
