Thought the girlfriend would have fast trouble free car:(

Pros: very fast. Good handling. different and more agressive looks.
Cons: gas mileage, reliability, shifter and clutch!! A lot of problems already:(
The Bottom Line: I'll keep fixing it so she can have fun driving it. Besides like I said she loves the vibration thing.

I got A great deal from a friend on our Cobra. 29800 for the car to our door. If I hadn't, my review would have been worse. Bottom line, our cobra is very fast and unlike the saleen review here, i think the cobra is a faster, cheaper car. And it can keep up with any vette even a Z06, but it comes down to the drivers. Most Z06. But getting back to the cobra, speed is all it has, sadly to say but true. The shifter like everyone states is pathetic to use and the slop and notchiness makes you turn the radio up. The fuel mileage is worse than whats on the window. The engine has a rough lousy idle!!! My fuel guage drops to empty at 3/4 full:( the defrost crossover door opens and closes by itself all the time defrost is on. We can't find a local dealer that will service the damn thing either, go figure. I own a repair shop, but if I touch it I'll void the warranty, yippie!! Oh ya word of caution turn that damn useless taction control off every time you get in the car. You can't just leave it on some moron made it so it resets itself every time you turn the car off. If you forget and try to pull out quickly into traffic, you might not make it because it kicks on the traction, and basically stops the car where it is, right in front of that huge truck you were trying to get in front of!!!! Paste a sticky note on it saying push me so you remember it. And theres some wierd damn rattle that comes and gos. I tried to find a bolt stuck somewhere like the other guy that wrote a review but i can't. And above all the vibration is another problem someone here mentioned and it is annoying. I like 80 on the highway but can't do that in this car!!!!! It's so noticable my girlfriend smiles at me and says i like 80:) If anyone wants one get a deal and it won't hurt so much when the car is only good for the track mike furlong Cape Cod MA. As far as me I'll stick to my custom 91 corvette, the workmanship is much better and mclure racing of dallas texas gave me 500hp and 600ft torque. everything in one:)
