Pros:Honestly not very many, fair quality.
Cons:Ink thirsty, only Epson paper, error prone.
The Bottom Line: My sincere opinion is that for this amount of money, albeit little, you would do better to look at others. And be smarter than me... Read the reviews here first!
I wish I had read the reviews here first. Initially I thought this would be a good buy not only because of Epson's reputation but also because they seem to use inexpensive cartridges.
Turns out those inexpensive cartridges are mighty small and worse, the machine uses an enormous amount of ink. You will be replacing these cartridges quite often.
Frequently getting communication errors that interrupt printing and is unable to resume without wasting the current sheet of photo paper. Same with either a USB connection or Parallel port.
Use anything but Epson's own photo paper and it will run everywhere. And yes, it's terribly pricey paper.
There is little doubt that this printer is sold cheap to help fetch money for the company later on ink and paper. I suppose that could be acceptable for some if it was at least reliable.
I have had this printer for 2 months. And I am actually about to go and try the Canon i550, which I probably would have gotten before had I been smart enough to go to epinions first.
My sincere opinion is that for this amount of money, albeit little, you would do better to look at others. And be smarter than me...... Read the reviews here first!
