No Computer without a DVD burner should Be without this Title, First of all 321's Activation Process is among the Best out there, Each Copy of DVD X COPY will have to be activated over the net or Phone before it can be activated.

It is Virtually 1 Click away from a Perfect quality backup of your original DVD.

There are many options once you get started, the Software will analyze your original and determine if you need 2 disks or 1 disk to back up your original. In some cases after analyzing the disk you will get a prompt from the software that the movie can fit on 1 disk if special features are omitted, you will then be given the option to put all the special features on a separate disk, Like many new DVD's are coming 1 disk for the movie and 1 disk for the Special Features. Some DVD title will take 2 blank DVD's to complete the Action that can get expensive. 321 Studios has now released DVD X Copy Xpress which will compress the video to Fit on one disk like the original, excluding the menus and special features. If you have purchased DVD X Copy before April 28, 2003 via the Internet you will be entitled to a free upgrade to DVD X Copy Xpress, if you purchased the DVD X Copy title at a retail store before April 28, 2003 you will have to fax your copy of a receipt to 321 Studios for your Free Upgrade.
Anyway back to X COPY, After you Choose your Disk configuration i.e. omitting special features etc the status window will pop up and if you want to you can watch the status of the process or go grab about and hour of TV and come back and viola in about an hour you will have a perfectly working beautiful copy of your original DVD. If it is a 2 disk copy it will take about 2 hours depending upon the speed of your computer and speed of your DVD Burner once the first disk is done you put in the second disk and off it goes putting either the second part of the movie on the disk or all the special features. Again one of the drawbacks is that if the movie has to be put on 2 disks
It WILL split the movie in half, which can be a pain but at least you have a working back up, when you get to the end of the first disk a black screen will pop up on the TV and ask you to insert disk 2, when you put in disk 2 it will automatically start playing. And you will be able to watch the rest of the movie
321 studios also has come up with a unique way of fighting piracy, first of all new versions of X Copy will ask if it is a rented DVD or Your own. The finished product when played will show a warning screen much like the FBI warning screen on all Movies saying "This is a Backup" and warning you of piracy and copyright laws, another awesome anti piracy feature is that all DVD backups will be watermarked it a special serial code, so that if you make illegal backups and post them on the net for download the special serial will go with the DVD files. Meaning if you get caught it can be traced back to the original person who made the backup, as a bonus 321 studios is offering a $10,000 reward for anyone that leads them to any person using DVD X Copy to make Illegal Backups
DVD X Copy will work with any format of blank DVD Plus or Minus and most DVD burners.
