Pros:Speed,Stability,Reliability. Great Desktop replacement. Three USB 2.0 ports
Cons:Heavy,Speakers sound a little tinny. That doesn't matter to me.
The Bottom Line: Looking for a desktop replacement and weight is not a factor. This is the one!
Bought this laptop about 3 weeks ago and it has been absolutely problem free. Chose Toshiba over Sony and other because technicians in the returns dept at Frye's all said that Toshiba is the most reliable. I've loaded tons of programs on this machine and it's rock solid stable. Doesn't crash. The DDR makes a difference because you can keep lots of programs open at the same time.
Actually one negative. It didn't like the Sprint Aircard 550 but it loved the Novatel. No matter what I did (10 hours with Sprint Tech support) I couldn't get the Sprint Sierra Aircard 550 to operate at efficiency (Very slow Speed. This problem is not verified and could have been a defective modem.
