I found Paint Shop Pro 6 accidentally. I was introduced to it through something called Email Tags. They are pictures with your name on them that you put at the end of an email, as an interesting way to sign your mail. (I have AOL so I can have embedded pictures, but you could add them as an attachment if you can't have embedded pictures) I asked around and found PSP!

I have had PSP 6 for about 8 months now, and I am using it 2-10 times a day. How's that for addicted? In the program, you can take a graphic, any graphic weather it be one that you scanned in, or downloaded from the Internet, and turn it into a beautiful work of art! With a few clicks, you can re-size, add borders, text, rotate, remove red eye, fill with color, or make something entirely new. I feel like a graphic designer when I am using it. Did you know that you can design an entire web page with this program? From scratch?! You can have what you want, not just what you can find!

I was intimidated at first, by all the buttons and features that are included with this program... I didn't know how to use a Flood Fill tool (fill in large areas of your picture with specific colors or patterns), or Deformation tool (used to re-size, or rotate), or even how to use a plugin (special effects that you can add to your program)...that didn't last long though. I did a quick search, and I found a wonderful world on the Internet, that will help you learn what you need to know quickly and easily. There are over 1,000 sites that are solely dedicated to Paint Shop Pro. Do a search for PSP or Paint Shop Pro and you will see what I mean.

There are sites where you can find Paint Shop Pro graphics, called Tubes, of every kind. AND tutorials (Tuts) on how to do whatever you need to do. If you can see it in your mind, you can created it with this program. Sometimes just fooling around you can come up with the most beautiful things ... there are a world of resources for you to use that will help you with this program, and there is also a demo of the newer version Paint Shop Pro 7 right on the JASC web site (www.jasc.com). If you are not sure if you would like this program or not, get the Demo, but beware if you do you won't give it up!
