look for the right cam, for what your task will be

The Bottom Line Take your time to know exactly what you need.
Ok, so you have decided to buy a webcam, what next? There are a few steps you should take before you make the purchase.
ok, here goes:
1) Look for a camera in your price range. You can get "cheaper" camera's for around $50. But, if you have more money, it is usually worth it to get a more expensive cam.
2) Think about what you will be using this cam for. You do not need a few hundred dollar camera if you are only going to use it for personal use. If it is important that you have "top of the line" quality, if, maybe for a business, then i would opt for a more expensive cam.
3) It is a good idea to read reviews about each of the camera's, and examine the packaging to find out what software is included. This will give an idea of the capabilities of the camera's.
4) Make sure that this camera can fit your system capabilitites, look closely if you own an older computer. You may not have usb ports, or even a system that is slower than the reccommended one. Some cameras need very fast computers to run as they are advertised. Also, check to see which ports are used by which cameras, make sure you have open ports.
5) Go to a store taht has a wide variety of cams. Tell the people there about everything you need in the camera. This should help in narrowing down the selection.
I hope this advice has helped. Please leave comments, and if possible, view a few of my other opinions and let me know what you think, I love to receive feedback.
