Campo (South American Grill)
by JasonNYCity | Mar 04 '01
Good Argentinian food at reasonable prices. Carnivores unite! I recommend ordering meat, the garlic/parsley fries, and the desserts I mentioned. Four stars across the board.

LOL Ifif. I don't know who they actually give those cookies to, but it was a nice touch. Don't think that I'm not tempted to order their desserts take out. But then again, Cafe Lalo (the Dessert Cafe) is practically around the corner.

I'd just go for the dessert! And, the cookie from the waiter.....I used to live so close to that location, but that was years and years ago..

How many stars do you give it for food, decor, service and overall?

Of course, that means I'm a big fan of beef. Gosh, between you and Epicure, I might someday be persuaded to venture north of 42nd...I'm just afraid my downtown vampire skin will burn with all the light and space up there.

I was wondering myself. They must be adding some form of garlic liquid to the fries after the cook them. (Shrug) They were still very tasty, and worth ordering.

I can probably find out next time I eat there.

Soggy fries? (Reply to this comment)

I'm wondering why the garlic made the fries less than crunchy....I know when we make baked garlic fries, they still turn out nice and crunchy (after a nice spritz of olive oil!). Still, sounds appealing! =)

Anna
